Shabbat Connections
Congregation Beth Israel's Shabbat Connections was created to help individuals and families create a more satisfying Shabbat experience. In this ongoing community program, participants are matched with four or five families to celebrate Shabbat with a potluck dinner in each other’s homes, on a monthly basis. Each Shabbat Connection group develops and innovates its own practices for deepening Shabbat observance (through music, food, rituals, Torah learning, etc.) with the support of the synagogue’s rabbis and educators. Groups are also encouraged to commit once a month to exploring other aspects of Jewish life at CBI (such as attending a worship service, lecture, holiday celebration, Beit Midrash, film screening, mussar group, etc.).
